Sponsorship Fundamentals

Presented by Catherine Hawkins

Getting the fundamentals right and formulating a cohesive sponsorship strategy are the hallmarks for sponsorship success.

In this one-day seminar attendees will learn best practice in how to prepare and present a professional sponsorship proposal and understand what differentiates sponsorship from other marketing activities.

The workshop will equip you with practical and straightforward tools and templates essential for developing a winning sponsorship proposition – saving you time, energy and resources.

The seminar will also give you an understanding of how to communicate realistic goals and timeframes to internal stakeholders and get your board’s commitment.

The day is ideal if you are new to sponsorship and for anyone looking to refresh and reignite their current sponsorship offer.

You will learn how to:

Develop a realistic and robust sponsorship plan/strategy that gives you the optimum chance of success

Identify and determine your most valuable sponsorship assets and opportunities – using the asset checklist

Determine your sponsorship USP – so you can differentiate your association and offer

Understand what sponsors are looking for and what to offer

Identify who to partner with i.e. which organisations are a good fit for your sponsorship opportunity and who will want to work with your organisation (or brand)

Create a professional sponsorship proposal document

Approach sponsors and present your proposal.

The day will highlight the nuances of sponsorship and focus on producing sponsorship opportunities that are realistic for your association to deliver and that have a high-value to your sponsor.

The day will combine inspiring case studies, practical tips, strategic ideas and walk-throughs.

Catherine Hawkins

This seminar is being lead by Catherine Hawkins who specialises in working with sponsorship-seekers to identify assets and opportunities within organisations with the goal of converting these into revenue-generating and sustainable commercial programmes. She has over 10 years experience in sponsorship and sales.
